Correlejo - Fuerteventura
Correlejo is a harbour village located on the northern tip of Fuerteventura. The town is surrounded by some fine blue flag beaches including Playa del Pozo, Playa del Medano and Playa de Viejo. Due to the secluded nature of the area some beaches are used by naturists and are located away from the town.
The sheltered ( playa la Clavellina ) which is a safe family friendly beach used by both tourists and locals alike. Fishing for supper from the harbour walls is popular and worth a try. There are plenty of yacht and other pleasure craft in the harbour and is where the ferry services to Lanzarote are located. There are a few booths around where you can book family fishing a boat trips.
Transfer times from Fuerteventura airport to Correlejo takes about is about 40 minutes. You can always hire a car at Fuerteventura airport . The drive is interesting and quite pleasant, going through some lovely villages typical of the Island. Roads FV-1 and the FV-101 lead to Correlejo.

Caleta de Fueste is located just 10 km south of Puerto de Rosario and is a purpose built resort created around the original cove. Caleta is Spanish for a small cove and Fuste is a type of fishing boat.
Caleta has become one of the islands main tourist destinations and is home to a large beach made of pale golden sand, a firm favourite with beach lovers. It was improved at great in the last few years and is an ideal family fun beach to spend plenty of sunshine hours during your family holiday. The town, thankfully has remained low rise as far as construction is concerned located mostly around one long main street where the bars, cafeterias, restaurants an night life is concentrated.
For golf lovers you wont be disappointed as the 18 hole Fuerteventura Golf Club is close by and offers a lovely club house restaurants and many more facilities for the golfing enthusiast.
When you are not enjoying the fantastic beaches there is plenty to keep you and your family occupied including a good selection of shops, a cinema, 10 pin bowling, diving, boat trips and other water sports activities. There is even a submarine offering unique undersea excursions.

Designated green belts have thankfully remained intact. With that in mind, the hotels are not located on the shoreline being built back away from the beaches, there elevated positioning though offers spectacular views over the sea and surrounding areas.
